EK68 VIA is an extremely powerful 65% keyboard Kit that supports VIA programming. While being compact, it still retains all of essential keys for daily work and game along with cursor keys. Furthermore, user can change the keys by VIA without re-flashing firmware. VIA allows you to easily create macros and remap your keyboard layout to quickly access any function in any program. The changes can remain in keyboard even when keyboard is unplugged and re-plugged.
The EK68 VIA is designed as a gasket-mounted keyboard kit. The typing tactile and auditory experience is further enriched in EK68 VIA with the use of Poron foams. Poron foam in our construction dampens reverberations within housing, effectively dampening resonance and allowing a cleaner sound profile. Included PC plate can best fit gasket mount compared to other more flexible plates such as steel or FR4. This adds to stability of the kit over long gaming sessions.
Equipped with a 3000mAh large capacity battery, this keyboard Kit supports wireless and wired connections. By the wireless option, either Bluetooth (up to 5.0) or 2.4GHz can be chosen. By the wired mode, a USB-C cable is included for fast and stable transmission. Seamless switching between every device is like a piece of cake.
EPOMAKER EK68 VIA is equipped with hot swappable PCB to ensure free replacement or change of switches. You don’t need to solder it. It is compatible with most 3 pin and 5 pin mechanical switches, such as Cherry, Gateron, Otemu, Kailh and other MX switches and its clones. The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle. It also avoids the interference when installed with the popular cherry profile keycaps.
EK68 VIA is designed with a knob to control volume. By simply rotating left or right and pressing, the kit can turn the system volume up, down, or completely muted. The stabilizers that come with this DIY kit are refinedly tuned to prevent rattling on large keys like spacebars and modifiers. Therefore, EK68 VIA DIY kit offers a premium stable typing experience.
